Be Creative serves neurodivergent individuals across the full spectrum, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and sensory processing differences. We also support parents, families, and schools seeking to understand and nurture different kinds of minds.

We focus on the individual needs of the young person, rather than labels, although many students do have diagnoses or are in the process of assessment.

Yes, we do accept privately funded students where we have availability and where we feel Be Creative is the right fit. Our provision is typically structured in termly blocks, with a minimum number of hours per week to ensure consistency and meaningful progress.

Referrals can come from parents, schools, local authorities or other professionals. The first step is usually an informal conversation, followed by one or two meetings with the young person and the adults supporting them. This helps us understand their needs and ensures that Be Creative is the right environment for them.

We take time to carefully consider each referral. We usually arrange one or two informal meetings with the young person and their support network to understand their needs, personality and how they may fit within our existing groups. This helps us maintain a calm, balanced environment for all students.

We are based in Wadebridge, Cornwall, and support students within the surrounding areas.

Be Creative Cornwall supports students through a range of funding pathways. The majority of students attend through EHCP funding or EOTAS (Education Other Than At School) packages arranged by the local authority. We also accept privately funded students, depending on availability and suitability.

We typically support young people aged 11–21, depending on their individual needs and circumstances.

Students attend structured provision days (usually 9:30am – 2:30pm) where they engage in a range of creative activities including sculpture, art, design, making, digital media and more.
Each day is flexible and student-led, allowing young people to explore their interests while building confidence, resilience and skills.

Be Creative Cornwall operates in line with school terms, with provision running from the beginning to the end of each term. Students attend on a consistent, structured basis rather than ad-hoc or one-off sessions, as this allows us to build routine, relationships and meaningful progress over time.

A typical day runs from 9:30am – 2:30pm, providing a full, supported learning day within our studio environment. The number of days a student attends each week is agreed in advance and tailored to their individual needs and funding arrangements.
While our days are structured, the way students engage within them is flexible and student-led. This balance allows young people to feel secure in a routine, while still having the freedom to work at their own pace and follow their creative interests.

We support young people who may be neurodivergent, experiencing school burnout, anxiety, or struggling within mainstream education. Our provision works best for students who are able to engage independently, manage their own personal care, and participate safely within a small group environment.

While we work in very small groups, students often receive a high level of individual attention within sessions.
We do not provide full-time one-to-one care, but our staffing ratios allow for a flexible and supportive approach.

Yes — we regularly offer informal visits and open days where parents and young people can see the space, meet the team and get a feel for how Be Creative works.
